Once again, evidence has come to light of the UFO cover up by the British authorities. Intelligence papers from the famous "Rendlesham Incident" have gone missing, files from the National Archives reveal.
The Rendlesham Incident refers to UFO sightings by dozens of military personnel, and the alleged landing of an alien craft, at RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, in December 1980. At the time the base was used by the U.S. Air Force.
As BBC News reports, the disappearance came to light with the release of 8,000 previously classified documents on UFOs.
Officials found a "huge" gap where defence intelligence files relating to the case should be, the papers show.
But it is not the only gap in the official record. In 2002 the MoD received a request for information from Lord Hill-Norton. He wanted to know about reports of a UFO sighting made by HMS Manchester while on exercise in the 1990s.
It emerged in the file that HMS Manchester's log for one of the periods was lost overboard after "a gust of wind".
A gust of wind? Oh, pur-leeease. Are we really expected to believe that?
Further evidence of the cover up comes from veteran UFO researcher, Jenny Randles. Jenny was investigating the case of the "Cumberland Spaceman", a photograph allegedly depicting a tall alien creature in a spacesuit in 1964 (see Alien Pictures - Part 2).
At around the time as the photograph was taken, in Woomera, Australia, Blue Streak missile tests were being conducted. One particular launch had to be cancelled, due to "two large men" being present on the site, similar in description to the Cumberland Spaceman.
Jenny visited the Kew Records Office to search for references. Her first discovery relating to the incident was an MOD letter dated 29/12/64 which referred to the "Cumberland Spaceman", then references to the aborted launch and finally a report sent in by someone (at Woomera) asking what the large object was hovering which was impossible to miss.
Jenny also found a reference to film held by COI and invitations for people to view it. There was however no film in the archive, not even stills, even though film existed of other launches. The aborted launch was missing.
So is this evidence of the British authorities covering up the truth from the people? It certainly seems like that.
